Tierny is a singer/songwriter hailing from the seaside town of Blackpool.
Attending The Emily Laws school of Acting in her youth, she learned to hone her vocal and performance skills on the stage as well as undertaking L.A.M.D.A exams in which she achieved DISTINCTION grades and attained her Gold and Bronze medals in Acting and Musical Theatre. She then worked as a teaching assistant whilst studying performing arts at college in which she taught individual acting and singing lessons, examination prep (L.A.M.D.A) as well as assisting in the directing and rehearsal of end of term shows.
After completeing a degree in acting, Tierny then decided to persue her passion for music and writing poetry securing a place at BIMM Manchester where she studied vocal performance and songwriting. This opportunity then gave her the confidence to persue music as a career, and she has performed at prestgious venues such as The Ruby Lounge and Manchester Academy, as well as playing a set for Oxjam at Leeds festival 2015.
Having varied experience, her aim is to strenghten and develop both performance and vocal technique, shaping lessons to suit the needs of each individual, encouraging students to express their own identity and find ‘Their Voice’ whilst equiping them with the skills they require to give confident consistant performances
